Unified Multi-Modal Perception

An autonomous vehicle platform needed to calibrate multiple cameras with non-overlapping fields of view for complete surround perception. Traditional camera-to-camera calibration requires shared features, which wasn't possible with their sensor configuration.

CalibWorks developed an innovative calibration approach using LiDAR as a geometric bridge between cameras. By leveraging the LiDAR's 360° coverage and precise 3D measurements, we establish accurate transformations between all cameras, even those without direct visual overlap.
